SALES PRICES RISE 1.4 PERCENT
According to the October 20th, 2016 news release from the Maine Association of Realtors, Maine Realtors reported 1,732 homes sold across Maine’s 16 counties during September 2016. This an an increase of 6.13 % over a year ago!
So…the question remains, should sellers take their homes off the market during the upcoming holiday season and re-list in the spring? Ed Gardner, President of the Maine Association of Realtors has the answer. “No-life circumstances bring a steady stream of buyers into the marketplace. Colder weather tends to bring out the more serious buyers and investors who want to take advantage of tax benefits prior to year-end.”
